Sacramental Programme

Baptism

First Confession

First Communion

Our Sacramental Programme takes place when children are in Year 3 and ensures that our baptised children can complete their journey to being full members of the Catholic Church. Children are provided with support to make the sacraments of Reconciliation and the Eucharist. We hope that their involvement with the sacramental programme will help them feel welcomed into the wider Church family.

The process begins with a presentation at Church, where Father John-Paul will bless all of the children at the start of their journey. Children will then be prepared to participate in the sacrament of Reconciliation, where they will confess their sins to God and be restored to the innocence of their Baptism. The final sacrament in this journey is to receive Jesus in their First Holy Communion (the Eucharist.)

Each part of the programme is important, as it forms a part of the child’s experience of God which will remain with them for the rest of their lives. We hope this will be a very positive experience, and we trust that parents will support them on every step of the journey.

If you would like any further information, please feel free to contact Miss Griffiths or Fr. John-Paul.
